Conferences/ Workshops /Seminarsinternational workshop on Advance laproscopic bariatric surgery at SIMSUVAS surgeons facilitate in international workshop on Advance laproscopic bariatric surgery at SIMS. a two days workshop on advance laproscopic bariatric surgery was arranged at services institute of medical sciences (animal wet lab) lahore on 10 june 2013. hand on practical demonstration of latest laproscopic procedures was done on adult live goats. assistance was sought from university of veterinary and animal sciences lahore to provide anesthetic and anatomical support to human surgeons. A renouned group of laproscopic surgeons from abroad and all over pakistan attended the workshop. the procedures were live telecasted by video conference to various post graduate medical students. The workshop was sponsored by ethicon group (pvt) limitedProf Dr M Arif Khan and DR Hamid Akbar (lecturer surgery) provided veterinary technical support in workshop. Prof Dr M Arif Khan also delivered a lecture on topographic anatomy of goats before the start of proceedings of workshop.
