Dr. Muhammad Sarwar Siddique M.A (PU), M.Phil (MUL), PhD (MUL) Tel: 00 92 42 9921 1449 (Ext 236) BiographyDr. Muhammad Sarwar Siddique is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Sciences. He joined UVAS as Lecturer in 2005 and was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2016. Before joining UVAS, he has been teaching at MUL as lecturer and served Minhaj Education Society as Director Curriculum Research. He also served Farid-i-Millat Research institute Lahore as Assistant Research Scholar. He served University Magazine “The VISION” as Chief Editor and worked as Incharge for Qiraat and Naat Society UVAS. Currently, he is member of several Academic and Administration committees of UVAS. He is also serving as Superintendent and Security Officer in UVAS Hostels. Dr. Muhammad Sarwar Siddique has worldwide exposure for preaching Islam ( Especially for Naat Recitation). He has performed on National and International TV Channels including PTV and Radio Pakistan. He has visited several countries including Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Holland, France, Italy, Australia, Turkey Kingdom of Oman, UAE, and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Islamic talks, conferences and training workshops as resource person and invited speaker. He specializes in “Animal Rights in Islam” and has been offering consultancy to animal related farms and industries. He established YouTube Channel “IRFAN UL ISLAM” a student forum, where a series of recorded lectures of Islamic and Pakistan Studies is available. This forum is also being used for open house Seminars, Workshops and Question Answer sessions for under graduate students. Development and editing of Text Books is one of his major interests. He played a pivotal role in the development of 34 textbooks for MES. He was nominated as the subject expert by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) and received a letter of appreciation by Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council for designing the DVM Curriculum Revision exercise for Islamic Studies, Pakistan Studies, Sociology and Holy Quran Translation. Dr. Sarwar has also developed his own research site with the name of “Al-Asr” (www.al-asr.pk) where he shares latest information related to the field of Islamic Studies including subjects such as Quran, Ḥadīth, Sīra, Fiqh and Islamic Law, Sufism, Philosophy and theology, Classical and contemporary Muslim thought and issues related to Muslim societies. He is also owner and editor of one of the fast growing page on You Tube entitled IRFAN-UL-ISLAM (https://m.youtube.com/channel/UC10nq0VkQFIAU1zXy9glWfA/featured) and “Al-Irfan Research Center Lahore” (https://www.facebook.com) where he responses to Islam related quarries for the benefit of General Public.
