Biography
Dr. Shahid Mehmood is Associate Professor in the Department of Poultry Production, his Ph.D. work is on “Effect of different management strategies on growth performance, biochemical profile and immune response of broilers”. He is serving the university since 2008 before that he also worked with renowned organizations like Big Bird, and Panjnad Feeds in private sector. His expertise are in the field of broiler production and poultry waste management. Currently, he is executing a project with the collaboration of PPA on Artificial Insemination (AI) in birds while involved in 03 different projects as Co-PI and member. He has published noteworthy literature in the national and international journals. He has published 54 national and international impact factor research papers and more than 70 abstracts. In spite of that he has also published many articles in newspapers and magazines for the awareness of general peoples. Moreover, he has produced 02 PhD and 17 M.Phil students as supervisor while 03 Ph.D and 20 as member and currently, 03 Ph.D and & 04 M.Phil students are under supervision. He has a number of training under his credit and he is referee of renowned national and international Journals.
