Weeklong in-service professional development training to build capacity of ministerial staff begins at UVAS
LAHORE (23-04-18): The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore organised a weeklong in-service professional development training to build capacity of ministerial staff under the project of “In-service Training Facility of Advance Veterinary Education and Professional Development for Veterinary Professionals” funded by Punjab Government here in City Campus Lahore.
Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha presided over the inaugural session of the training and delivered an informative lecture on the topic of good governance systems and structure in higher education institution while Associate Professor Dr Hafsa Zaneb and 20 of the training participants (Junior Clerks) were present.
Weeklong training will cover the major areas related to good governance, quality assurance in academics and research related activities, communication skills, how to manage financial resources (bill and budget) purchase process, audit & accounts, writing skills, information technology equipment management and administrative skills etc.
Meanwhile, Department of Pathology of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore organised a 2-days hands-on training workshop on “Necropsy Examination of Poultry/Large and Small Ruminants/Companion Animals” in City Campus Lahore.
In which many eminent professors and professionals will be the resource persons of the training. The aim of the workshop was to provide an opportunity to postgraduate students, field veterinarians and young faculty members to update their necropsy skills.
