UVAS signed MoU with Oaks CAF
LAHORE (29-03-17): The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore and Oaks CAF Lahore, a Korean company, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate in research, value addition, training and marketing activities.
Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha and Chief Executive Oaks CAF Ms. Seo Jung Oak signed the MoU at the UVAS City Campus Lahore. Dean Faculty of Life Sciences Bussiness Management Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad, Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Masood Rabbani and Director External Linkages Dr Imtiaz Rabbani were also present.
Under the MoU, Oaks will cultivate crops on the farm land for value addition, develop funding/grant proposals, coordinate research with UVAS, Korean research bodies/other universities, develop vertical value chains and work for capacity building of farming community.
The UVAS will facilitate Oaks`s CAF for agricultural, livestock value addition and marketing activities and provide intellectual input for the value-added production of commodities. The university will also collaborate in research and publications with other research organisations in Pakistan and elsewhere.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha briefed the Oak CAF on UVAS academic, research, extension services and training programmes. He also discussed the areas of collaboration and enhancing cooperation in the areas of mutual interest.
