International Livestock Nutrition Summit concludes
LAHORE (22-02-17): The two-day International Livestock Nutrition Summit titled “Feed, Farm, Food & Innovations” concluded at the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore on Wednesday.
Prof Dr Makhdoom Abdul Jabbar chaired the concluding session of the summit, which was organised by the UVAS in collaboration with Nutritionists Association of Pakistan (NAP). A large number of leading professionals, experts, delegates and stakeholders from seven countries, including China, Hungry, Turkey, the UAE, Holland, Bangladesh, Egypt, etc, attended the summit. Speaking on the occasion, Dean Faculty of Life Sciences Business Management Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad said that summit provided a platform to nutritionists, researchers, academia, government bodies and development partners to get insight into significant recent scientific findings and advancements in livestock nutrition from across the globe. He said that UVAS is working very closely with the industry and its doors are always open for their assistance.
President Nutritionists Association of Pakistan (NAP) Dr Mussadiq Asif, Prof Dr Makhdoom Abdul Jabbar, Organizing Secretary Prof Dr Saima Naveed also spoke on the occasion.
In the two days summit, experts discussed dairy nutrition for sustainable production, feed technology and management for improving livestock production, nutrition of growing and fattening animals in oral and poster presentations.
