50th syndicate meeting held at UVAS
LAHORE (10-08-17): 50th syndicate meeting of the University of Veterinary and Animal Science (UVAS) Lahore was held here on Thursday.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha presided over the meeting, in which various agenda items were discussed and decisions were taken. Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor briefed the syndicate members on various academic, research training, short term trainings of Livestock Department staff and ostrich farmers of Punjab, seminars, international conference, development projects regarding establishment of “Export Facilitation Center for Livestock & Poultry Industry” and “Development of Camel Milk Value Chain by adopting modern supply chain mechanism for enhancing farmers profitability in Punjab”, Buffalo Research Institute Meeting, disease diagnostic facilities and achievements of the university, etc. During meeting sand-witches, mint slush and fruit salad served to syndicate members which were prepared by UVAS students. Syndicate members lauded the role of UVAS for providing quality of education in the country and various food products prepared by students to promote safe & healthy food.
